We carry six origins of virgin hair: Brazilian, Malaysian, Burmese, Cambodian, Indian and Filipino. The names refer to where the donors are from, and while every bundle is different, each origin tends toward a texture and weight that suits certain hair types and certain styles better than others. This is how we think about it when someone asks which to choose.
If you want body and volume
Brazilian is the fullest hair we sell, with a natural wave and a medium to coarse strand that blends with most relaxed and natural textures. Cambodian is thicker still and has a low luster, which makes it a close match for coarser hair. Both hold a style well and take heat without complaint.
If you want softness and movement
Malaysian hair is lighter and softer, with a low sheen that looks like your own. It holds a curl and needs very little product. Indian hair is the most versatile of the six, lightweight with a gentle wave that straightens or curls easily.
If you want structure in humidity
Burmese hair is fine but dense, with enough natural coarseness to keep a style through heat and moisture. Filipino hair runs straight to lightly wavy and is thick and durable, with a subtle shine that does not read as glossy.
A note on blending
The best match is the one closest to your own texture when your hair is in its natural state. If you are between two origins, choose the one with slightly less luster; it will disappear into your hair more easily. And if you would like a second opinion, send us a photo of your hair at [email protected] and we will tell you what we would choose.
